Psychotherapy

One-on-One with Sergio Sarkis

If you’ve arrived here, perhaps you are drawn to deeper inner work. When polarities are not fully integrated, the consequences are felt across every area of life:

  • Loss of self — feeling insecure, reactive, or out of alignment.

  • Loss of connection — relationships strained by conflict, forcing, or resentment.

  • Loss of meaning — diminished sense of direction while your potential remains unexpressed.

As you bridge your polarities, life changes. You learn to befriend unconscious pain with curiosity, courage and compassion. You begin to relate to others with authenticity, respect and integrity. You can contribute to the world with purpose, meaning and resolve. In other words, your life becomes more whole — and your love deepens.

The Four Stages of Polarity Integration

The work explores four core domains of human experience. When these are brought into conscious relationship, love in all areas of your life deepens—moving you from fragmentation to wholeness.

Transform

Reclaim your shadow

Together, we explore your inner world—past wounds, emotional patterns, and lived experiences—and map them through six shadow distortions. As you integrate these polarities that have been judged, repressed, or inflated, something wonderful happens. Energy that was once trapped in internal conflict is liberated—giving you more vitality for the journey ahead.

Stabilise

Return to your centre

Establish a secure inner base that remains steady even amidst the storms of anxiety, self-doubt, or overwhelm. This domain is about internal harmony—aligning your mental, emotional, and physical life. By returning to your centre, you cultivate a profound sense of "home" within your own skin, creating the stability needed to face the world with clarity.

Deepen

Relate from your truth

By integrating shadow material and polarity distortions, harmony and flow are restored in your romantic, familial, and professional life. You learn to speak your truth and connect deeply with others, while maintaining healthy boundaries. You learn the art of giving and receiving—where authenticity, respect and love become second nature.

Contribute

Realise your potential

Build the ultimate bridge between who you are and what the world needs from you. In this final domain, your time and attention begin to organise around what matters most, allowing you to move through the world with purpose, meaning and impact. In the process, you develop a deep sense of peace in yourself and trust in life’s unfolding.

How I Work

Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, grief, identity shifts, relationship struggles, or a life crisis, this is a space to meet yourself and begin to heal.

Psychotherapy creates a space to work directly with what is holding you back — inviting you to integrate the opposites within and around you.

In our 1-to-1 sessions, I offer a compassionate and productive space for you to explore what you are going through — without judgment. Together, we examine recurring tensions shaping your life — patterns of forcing and withholding, isolation and enmeshment, dissociation and addiction. As these tensions become conscious, they become workable. Through reflective dialogue, embodiment awareness, and carefully guided polarity practices, these patterns are brought into conscious relationship — where transformation and growth become possible.

Rather than choosing one polarity over another, we bring them into conscious relationship — enabling you to reclaim your shadow material, return to your centre, relate from your truth, and realise your potential.

My Approach

My approach is integrative, drawing from six core disciplines to meet you where you are:

  • Psychodynamic — Working with your unconscious, early life patterns, and attachment styles.

  • Humanistic — Supporting authenticity, self-worth, and the fulfilment of your potential.

  • Existential — Exploring fear, meaning, and purpose in the face of life’s challenges.

  • Transpersonal — Engaging the spiritual dimension through dreamwork, archetypes and practices of awakening.

  • Somatic — Working with your body’s own wisdom to access and release stored emotions, pain and memories.

  • Polarity traditions — Taoism (Yin and Yang), Tantra (Shiva and Shakti), Jungian psychology (Animus and Anima), and other polarity traditions — integrated carefully within an ethical clinical framework.

These disciplines inform The Bridging Polarities Method, which serves as a structured framework that integrates the psychological, relational, somatic and transpersonal dimensions of therapy.

The Fruits of Inner Work

As these inner tensions integrate, perception clarifies. You respond rather than react. You experience greater stability under pressure, greater relationship harmony, and greater depth of purpose. This is not about becoming someone new, but about becoming more coherent. Thought, feeling and action align. Life becomes less divided and more whole.

Benefits include:

  • Transformation — Reclaiming your shadow leads to mental and emotional recovery. By no longer carrying unconscious pain, a tangible weight is lifted from your body. You regain the vital energy once lost to internal conflict, making it available for every aspect of your life.

  • Stability — Returning to your centre gives you a secure inner base. You develop a reliable, unshakable steadiness—the ability to remain grounded even when external circumstances are chaotic. Your choices cease to be reactive impulses and become expressions of an aligned core.

  • Depth — Relating from your truth represents your capacity for deep intimacy and discerning boundaries. You learn the art of giving and receiving—where authenticity, respect and love become second nature—allowing you to be deeply seen and met while maintaining healthy boundaries.

  • Contribution — Realising your potential adds value to the world. As your unique gifts manifest as outward action, it brings a sense of deep meaning, fulfilment and impact. In the process, you experience the ultimate shift: a peace of being at home within yourself and a grounded trust in life’s unfolding.
